Doctor's Visit

Unfortunately, I don't have much to tell. I am now a loose 1cm, 60% effaced, at station -3. I am definitely getting discouraged for a normal delivery, i.e. not a c-section. I feel like everyday that passes there is less of a chance for a natural delivery. I am scheduled for fetal monitoring Tuesday morning and a doctor visit. If I don't have the baby by then, the doctor and I will discuss the possibility of induction. Keep your fingers crossed and hope the baby decides to grace us with its presence before Tuesday. I am hoping to meet this baby soon.

Nursery

The nursery is coming along slowly. What you see is what is done. Jude is still working on the dresser and changing table. I have a few things to put on the wall, but they require adding the name of the baby. All the clothes and baby paraphernalia are put away. My bags are packed. Just waiting for Baby Voltz to make the grand entrance.

391/2 weeks Progression Picture

I feel HUGE!!! I cannot wait for the baby to get here. I take my finals for the semester May 4 and then the baby needs to come. I have been lucky, though. I still feel great, no swelling and am not that uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I have not been getting alot of sleep. I wake up every couple hours. I have resorted to watching television on the couch in between my "night cat naps." I am also experiencing night sweats, so I keep the house freezing. My poor husband!!! I know he is ready for baby too.

39 Week Doctor Visit

Well we finally have some progression. I am 1/2 centimeter dilated and 50% effaced. Whoo-hoo!!! So hopefully we will have a baby sometime next week after Monday. I am taking both of my finals for the semester on Monday. Maybe Jude and the baby will share a birthday on Tuesday. The doctor seemed pretty confident the baby wasn't coming any time too soon.

Doctor's Visit

I wish I had something exciting to report, but no change since last week. Baby and I are doing well. The baby's heart beat continues in the 140s. Somehow I am still gaining weight, which I didn't think was possible. :( I am really starting to get anxious to meet our little sweet pea. I just want to know that the baby is healthy and the gender. Hopefully next week will bring different news. Only 2 weeks left!!!

Baby Shower

My Nannaine threw a wonderful baby shower at her house. The food was fantastic and the cake was even better. Thank you to all the friends and family, who attended. It was really great to see and catch up with everyone. I am amazed by everyone's generosity. I told Jude we need a bigger house to fit all of the baby gear. I definitely feel more prepared and ready for Baby Voltz.

Holy Cow!!! I didn't realize how large I had gotten until viewing these pictures. The belly just can't get any bigger!!!

Work Baby Shower

The girls at work through a wonderful shower for Baby Voltz. Everyone was so generous and thoughtful. Baby Voltz definitely has everything a baby could need or want. My mom and Emma came to join in the fun. Of course, everyone thought Emma was adorable.
