Xander at 2 months

I cannot believe Xander is 2 months. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. He currently weighs 14 lb 4oz and is 24 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for both. He is definitely more interactive this month. He can see you, smiles, and coos. It is awesome! He loves music. I make a fool out of myself singing to him. Jude is the human boom box. It is crazy the things you will do for a smile.

Xander's wonderful smile.

He used to look so small compared to his bobby pillow.
This month Xander has found his hands. He loves to suck on them.
Bath time!

We have definitely found a nighttime routine. Routine starts at 8pm, bath, bottle, and bed. Xander is almost sleeping through the night. WHOOO HOOOO!!! This is Xander after his bath. Too cute, right?

Emma loves Xander

Emma absolutely adores her cousin, Xander. She hugs and kisses on him everytime she see him. Her favorite thing is to hold him. Here is a video of her singing to Xander. It is so cute.

Xander's Baptism

Sunday afternoon Xander was baptized at St. Dominic. Xander did great, he hardly cried. Father Bob did the honors, which was special to us. He was the same priest that married us, and he baptized my brother and I. After the baptism everyone came to our house for a reception. It was our first hosting event. Everything went well and was a lot of fun.

As you can see all the grandparents were very proud.

We dressed Xander in the traditional garb. I think he looks adorable, but Jude definitely disapproved.

Mike and Corey are the godparents of Xander. I think they will be great!

Xander at 1 month

I can't believe a month has gone by already. Xander has change immensely over the past month. My son is already an over achiever at one month. We went to the pediatrician for a checkup this past week. Xander weighed 11 lbs and is 22 inches tall. He is in the 90% for both.

Xander @ 1 month
Xander's first bottle. He slept for 3.5 hours after finishing. Needless to say we made the bottle a bedtime routine. Jude and Xander both enjoy it.

Xander has started to smile on purpose. I think my son is getting more adorable with age. :)

Xander's favorite sleep spot is in somebody's arms or cuddled in the boppy pillow. He looks like an angel, right?
Things are definitely improving with time. Xander is starting to sleep 2.5-3.5 hour spans at night. I am also better in tune with his needs and wants. I am enjoying every minute with him and looking forward to the many months ahead.

Xander's Photo Shoot

Mom and I had a photo shoot for Xander. I needed a picture for his birth announcement. These are some of the photos taken. I think he is adorable, but I could be biased.
We are going to the pediatrician on Wednesday for his one month check up. Will have an update after the appointment.

Xander's First Week

I can't believe it has already been a week. Time flys!!! I have a whole new respect for mothers. This week has been tough. Xander seems to have his days and nights confused. He also likes to eat every hour even at night, which makes sleeping nearly impossible. These next two pictures sums up how we felt this week. No matter how hard, Jude and I are both enjoying our son immensely.

We took Xander to the pediatrician for a check up on Wednesday. Xander received a clean bill of health. He also weighed in at 8lb 5oz, 3 oz over his birth weight. I think Xander will be a big boy like his daddy. He still measure 20 3/4 inches long. Our next appointment will be at one month.

We even managed to give Xander his first bath. He did not like it at all. Hopefully that will change once he is older.

Xander had plenty of visitors this week. He got to meet his new family. His cousins are especially excited to have him. We appreciate all the visits and support this week. It has been a lot of help. Here are some pictures of Xander and family.
This is my favorite picture thus far. I am sure he is not really smiling, but has gas. It is still cute!
